What’s better than a cheeseburger? A burger with 2 extra patties. Give Traeger’s triple cheeseburger recipe a try the next time you do burger night at the house.

12 | slices of American cheese |
4 | hamburger buns |

Make the special sauce: In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, sugar, and vinegar. Set aside until ready to use.

Make the burgers: When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 400℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

Divide the ground beef mixture into 12 portions, 5 ounces each, then gently shape into patties. Season the patties on both sides with the Traeger Beef Rub.

Arrange the patties directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook for 4 minutes, then flip and cook for 2 minutes longer. Top each patty with a slice of cheese, close the lid again, and cook until the cheese is melted, 2 minutes more. During the last minute of cooking, place the buns on the grill to toast.

To assemble, spread a bit of special sauce on the bottom buns, then top each with pickles, a slice of tomato, a piece of lettuce, 3 burger patties, and a slice of onion. Spread more special sauce on the top buns, then place atop the burgers. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
