Turkey makes a lean mean burger. Grill it low and slow and pair it with our zesty chipotle tartar sauce for a burger you won't soon forget.

2 Teaspoon | Dijon mustard |
1/2 Cup | fresh white breadcrumbs |
1 1/2 Pound | ground turkey |
12 Whole | sesame slider buns or small dinner rolls, for serving |
Plum tomatoes, thinly sliced, for serving | |
Arugula, for serving | |

Make the Chipotle Tartar Sauce. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, green onion, pickle relish, chipotle chili, adobo sauce, and Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub, and whisk to combine. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Make the Sliders. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, milk, minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub, and whisk to combine. Stir in the bread crumbs.

Add the ground turkey, and using wet hands gently mix the meat with the mayonnaise and bread crumb mixture. Wet hands again, if needed, and form the mixture into 12 patties.

Use your thumbs to create a wide depression in the center of each. Cover and refrigerate, if making ahead.

When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 300°F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

Insert the probe horizontally into the center of a slider patty. Place the burgers directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook, turning once, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F, 30-35 minutes.

Remove the sliders from the grill. Transfer the sliders to the bottom half of the buns. Top with the Chipotle Tartar Sauce, tomatoes, onion, and arugula, as desired, and the top half of the bun. Serve immediately with the remaining tartar sauce. Enjoy!
