  • 1

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, combine the water, oil, yeast, and sugar. Let mixture rest for 5 to 10 minutes, or until frothy and bubbly.

  • 2

Lightly oil a bowl to hold the dough. With the dough hook, mix in the salt, egg, and the flour until combined. (The dough will be sticky.) Knead the dough in the mixer until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl, about 7 minutes. Transfer the dough to the oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

  • 3

Butter a 10-inch cast iron skillet or spray with cooking spray. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal portions. Form balls by cupping your hand over top of the dough portion and rolling on the counter. Transfer the rolls to the prepared pan. Cover with plastic and let rise 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, preheat the Traeger with the lid closed to 400°F.

Transfer the skillet to the gill and bake until the tops are lightly golden, 10 to 12 minutes. Enjoy!
