You heard us right. These burgers are slathered with a chipotle peanut butter mix and topped with crispy bacon and classic lettuce and tomato for a crazy delicious flavor combo.

Candied Bacon
8 Pieces sliced bacon
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
Burgers
1 1/2 Pound 80/20 ground chuck
To Taste kosher salt
To Taste coarsely ground black pepper

4 Slices cheddar cheese
4 hamburger buns
1 medium sweet onion, sliced, optional
4 dill pickles, sliced, optional
1 avocado, sliced, optional
2 Medium tomatoes, sliced, optional
Peanut Butter Sauce
1 Cup chunky peanut butter
1/2 Cup honey
1/2 Tablespoon chipotle powder

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 350°F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

    Make the candied bacon. Sprinkle the bacon with brown sugar. Place the bacon directly on the grill grates, close the lid, and cook for 10 minutes. Flip the bacon and cook for 10 more minutes, or until it reaches the desired doneness.

    Remove the bacon from the grill and set it aside. Increase the Traeger temperature to 450°F. For optimal results, set it to 500˚F if available.

    Make the burgers. Divide the ground chuck into four (6 oz.) portions and form into patties. Season liberally with salt and pepper.

    Insert the probe horizontally into the center of the burger. Place the burgers directly on the grill grates, close the lid, and cook for 4 minutes. Flip, and grill for 3 more minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F or desired doneness. Add cheese and continue to cook for 1 more minute until the cheese has melted.

    Make the peanut butter sauce. In a small bowl, add the peanut butter, honey, and chipotle powder. Whisk to combine.

    Remove the burgers from the grill. With a spoon or spatula, spread the peanut butter sauce on the hamburger buns. Assemble the burgers with candied bacon, onions, pickles, avocado, and tomatoes, if using. Enjoy!
