Skillet Pizza

Our skillet pizza is a weeknight dinner winner. Made in a cast-iron skillet right on the Traeger, this one-pan wonder features a deep dish Chicago-style crust, plenty of melty cheese, and just the right kiss of wood-fired flavor.

1 Pound | store bought pizza dough, room temperature |
2 1/2 Cup | shredded mozzarella cheese (about 10 oz) |
1 Cup | marinara sauce |

Step 1
Preheat your Traeger to 350°F. This should take about 15 minutes, depending on the weather and your grill model.

Step 2
Add olive oil to the bottom of a 10-inch cast-iron skillet and spread evenly to coat the entire surface. Place pizza dough into the skillet. Using your fingers, flatten and press the dough up the edges of the pan.

1 Pound store bought pizza dough, room temperature

Top the dough evenly with mozzarella cheese. Spoon dollops of marinara sauce over the cheese.

1 Cup marinara sauce

Place the skillet directly on the grill grate and cook for 1 hour, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are crispy.

Remove the skillet from the grill and let the pizza cool at room temperature for 10 minutes.
Step 6
Using a spatula, lift the pizza from the skillet and slice. If desired, serve with red pepper flakes, grated parmesan, fresh basil, or a drizzle of olive oil.
