Units of measurement:
main
2 1/2 Pound chicken wings
As Needed Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub
4 Tablespoon butter
3 Clove garlic, minced
1/4 Cup honey
1/2 Cup hot sauce
1 1/2 Cup blue cheese or ranch dressing

Step

  • 1

Start by segmenting the wings into three pieces, cutting through the joints. Discard the wing tips or save them to make a stock.

  • 2

Lay out the remaining pieces on a rimmed baking sheet lined with nonstick foil or parchment paper. Season well with Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub.

  • 3

When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 350℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

  • 4

Place the baking sheet with wings directly on the grill grate and cook for 45 to 50 minutes or until they are no longer pink at the bone.

To make the sauce: Melt butter in a small saucepan. Add the garlic and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Add in the honey and hot sauce and cook for a few minutes until completely combined. Keep sauce warm while the wings are cooking.

  • 6

After 45 minutes, pour the spicy honey-garlic sauce over the wings, turning with tongs to coat.

  • 7

Place wings back on the grill and cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes to set the sauce.
