1 Teaspoon | onion powder |
1 Teaspoon | paprika |
1 Teaspoon | chile powder |
1 Teaspoon | brown sugar |
1 Tablespoon | Jacobsen Salt Co. Pure Kosher Sea Salt |
1 Tablespoon | ground black pepper |

When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 500°F and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

Remove steaks from the fridge and pat dry.

In a mixing bowl, combine garlic, onion, paprika, brown sugar, chili, Jacobsen Salt and pepper.

Rub both sides of the steak with the Jacobsen Salt and spice mixture.

When the grill is hot, place steaks on the outer rim of the grill, this is typically the hottest part of the grill. Close the lid and wait 3 to 4 minutes before checking them.

Cook the steak to desired internal temperature on one side without flipping it (130°F for medium-rare). When meat reaches desired temperature, flip and cook for 1 minute longer.

Pull the steaks and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
