Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of this BBQ Chicken Leg recipe. Smoke and sauce bring out the flavor of these legs, making for an easy meal for any night of the week.

8 chicken drumsticks
2 Tablespoon Traeger Chicken Rub
1 Cup Traeger Apricot BBQ Sauce
1 Cup Traeger 'Que BBQ Sauce
1 Cup apple jelly, melted

    Pat drumsticks dry with a paper towel and season generously Traeger Chicken Rub.

    When ready to cook, set the temperature to 180℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes. For optimal flavor, use Super Smoke if available.

    Arrange the chicken legs on the grill grate and smoke for 30 minutes.

    Increase the grill temperature to 350 degrees F and cook for an additional 30 minutes.

    While the drumsticks are cooking, combine the two BBQ sauces and the jelly in a small sauce pan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat then set aside until ready to use.

    Brush the BBQ sauce on the chicken legs. Cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until an instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the leg (but not touching the bone) reaches 165 degrees F. Enjoy!
