Grilled Triple Cheeseburger

What’s better than a cheeseburger? Nothing really, unless you add two more patties into the mix. Give Traeger’s Triple Cheeseburger recipe a go the next time you do burger night at the house.

Ingredients

4 Poundground beef
As NeededTraeger Beef Rub
2 Tablespoonmayonnaise
1 Tablespoonketchup
2 Teaspoonsweet pickle relish
1/2 Teaspoonsugar
1/2 Teaspoondistilled white vinegar
12 SlicesAmerican cheese
4 hamburger buns
1 white onion, sliced
1 Tomatoes, sliced
As Neededbutter lettuce

  • Step 1

    Form meat mixture into 12 (5 oz) patties and sprinkle both sides generously with Traeger Beef Rub.

    Ingredients
    • 4 Pound ground beef

    • As Needed Traeger Beef Rub

  • Step 2

    For the Special Sauce: Mix all ingredients for sauce together and set aside until ready to use.

    Ingredients
    • 2 Tablespoon mayonnaise

    • 1 Tablespoon ketchup

    • 2 Teaspoon sweet pickle relish

    • 1/2 Teaspoon sugar

    • 1/2 Teaspoon distilled white vinegar

  • Step 3

    When ready to cook, set temperature to High and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Arrange patties on grill grate and cook for 4 minutes, flip and cook 2 minutes longer. Top with cheese and cook 2 more minutes or until cheese has melted.

  • Step 5

    The last minute of cooking, place the buns on the grill to toast, if desired.

  • Step 6

    Remove everything from the grill and build burgers with special sauce on bun, the three burger patties, tomato, lettuce, onions and pickles. Enjoy!
