Grilled Rabbit Tail Cocktail

Citrus, smoke and apple brandy come together in perfect harmony for the perfect fall cocktail. Wood-fired lemon wheels, the juice of lemon and orange get mixed with smoked simple syrup and stirred into apple brandy for a cold drink that'll warm your insides.

  • Step 1

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger to 350℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Place lemon halves directly on the grill grate and cook for 20-25 minutes or until grill marks appear. Remove from grill and let cool. Once cool enough to handle, juice the lemons then chill and reserve the juice.

    Using the proportions listed above and considering the size and consumption rate of your tailgate crew or party, mix all the above ingredients in a large thermos and top with a bit of ice.

    • 1/2 Ounce Traeger Smoked Simple Syrup

    Using 6-8 oz glasses or cups, guests can serve themselves from the thermos and garnish each drink with a grilled apple slice. Enjoy!
